London Office Fit Out for UBM on the South Bank

Today UBM, the publishing and exhibitions company, agreed to take 105,000 sq ft of space in a 20-storey building planned by a joint venture between developer Great Portland Estates and BP’s pension fund. The new London office fit out will take place over the top nine floors of 240 Blackfriars Road creating their new UK headquarters. UBM are taking a 15-year lease and paying £4.9m a year in rent – this amounts to £47 per sq ft. UBM will take the space in shell condition only and a Cat A fit out will follow in accordance with the developers’ specification.

Neil Thompson of GPE said, “240 Blackfriars Road will be a prominent, high quality building of outstanding design which will help to continue the regeneration of this part of the Southbank.”
