Pegasus Helicopters, the firm behind a revolutionary new design of helicopter that fly’s without the need for a rear rotor, has chosen Tamar Science Park for its new office relocation in Plymouth from which to base its UK Operations.
Pegasus is an international aviation company, developing helicopters using a pressure jet technology that overcomes the torque effect of traditional helicopters and eliminating the need for a tail rotor to counter those effects.

The company believes the market potential for its designs are “outstanding” in light of forecasts of a 50 per cent growth in the overall civil helicopter market through 2012 – and demand could well top 10,000 new helicopters by 2018. Anticipating the need to substantially increase the size of its operations with a new office design Plymouth in the future.
Bob Zummo chief executive of Pegasus, said: “Our new Operations Center on Tamar Science Park will serve as an international meeting ground for staff, customers and distributors.
