Exeter Senate Office gets new Office Tenant in Thomson Reuters

Following years of speculation, Thomson reuters is set to relocate to Exeter Senate Building from existing operations in Tiverton.

While still retaining a presence in the town, the firm has taken enough space for 70 workers at the new office block, between Western Way and Southernhay Gardens.

Reuters is another international firm to go to Exeter further to the relocation of the Met Office

“This is a good sign that even in these difficult times Reuters is able to invest in moving to Exeter. A lot of their staff already live in Exeter and drive to Tiverton.” Andrew Pearce, partner at commercial property agents King Sturge, said: “From a local point of view and a landlord’s point of view, Thomson Reuters is a great name to have. It’s a company that has had a base in Tiverton for more than 10 years and has locations all over the world, so it’s a bit of good news for Exeter in the context of all the bad news in the market.”

Reuters will occupy 6,265 sq ft on the second floor of The Senate, joining law firm Ford Simey, investment managers Rathbones and Forsyth Business Centres.
