Southampton Council Services Relocate to New Office Space

Residents in Southampton are now to use a one-stop shop for all their local services after the relocation to a new office space.

The office space in Southampton will be open to the city’s inhabitants in the Gateway centre, which is located in the ground floor of the civic centre, near to the Guild Hall.

The thisishampshire.net news site reported that it is open for people who are looking for assistance with a variety of services, ranging from housing allocation to benefits, which the council stated will help to improve customer service.

Councillor Jeremy Moulton told the news provider: “The move of Gateway is part of the council’s long-term accommodation strategy, which will see council staff working from only three general purpose office buildings in the city centre.”
