Office Relocation Birmingham for Grant Thornton to Colmore Plaza
Grant Thornton is set for an office relocation Birmingham to Colmore Plaza. The firm of accountants has made a large investment in Birmingham as a city over the years and this is set to continue.
Grant Thornton will be undertaking the office relocation Birmingham from Edmund Street and taking the entire 12th floor including 4,000 sq/ft on the 11th. David Munton, Managing Partner, said it was part of a multi-million pound investment in their Birmingham office which would see the 240 strong team expand by 10% over the next year.
The move will see their office space requirement increase from 21,000 up to 27,000 sq/ft. The firm has 10 partners and will begin the expansion in the new year starting with the tax team. Mr Munton said that apart from the need to expand one of the main incentives for moving was “to give our staff a fantastic working environment”.
Grant Thronton will be consolidating most of its operations onto one floor and will join other tenants including Amey, Williams de Broe, Orega, Aedas Architects and Davis Langdon.
Mark Harris of Caryle Group said they were delighted to have Grant Thornton as a tenant, adding “we believe that Colmore Plaza Birmingham is ideally placed to benefit from the on going demand for grade A office space in the region, particularly given the quality of office space on offer”.
