How this website handles your personal information.

Who we are

This website is run by Business Interiors. If you have a question about your personal information, email [email protected].

What we collect

  • Enquiries. When you use the contact form we receive the details you enter: your name and email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, organisation, location and project details.
  • Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
  • Visits. Like most websites, the hosting server, its security software and our visitor statistics record technical details such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested.

How we use it

We use enquiry details only to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to discuss and carry out a project. We do not sell your details, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your agreement. Technical details are used to keep the site secure, filter spam and understand which pages are useful.

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running a secure website, and, where you ask us about a project, on the steps you ask us to take before any contract.

Services that help run the site

A small number of service providers process information on our behalf: our web host; Akismet, run by Automattic, which checks contact-form messages for spam; Jetpack Stats, also run by Automattic, which counts visits; and Wordfence, which protects the site from attacks. Contact-form messages are emailed to us and a copy is kept in the website’s database.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising cookies. WordPress sets cookies for people who log in to manage the site, and security and statistics services may use technical identifiers to do their job.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any project that follows, and then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
