Our History

Business Interiors was established in Plymouth in 1992, supplying office furniture to local companies. Expanding rapidly, complimentary divisions were added offering interior design and interior fit-out services as Business Interiors became established as the largest office interior firm in Devon and Cornwall.

In 2005 a Bristol office was opened as the company expanded north to serve national customers, winning projects as far afield as Newcastle – including the major cities of London, Birmingham & Manchester.

In 2008 our Plymouth Head Office of 20 years was closed in favour of regional offices throughout the UK to better serve our rapidly expanding client base in London, the South West and the Midlands.

Today we’re a leading office interior design, fit out & refurbishment specialist working throughout the UK from offices in Devon, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Oxford and Reading.

We approach every office interior project as a rare opportunity to make a real and positive impact on your day-to-day life. Our team is made up of Senior Designers, Interior Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Account Managers. Our three departments of interior design, fit out and procurement are able to work independently as part of your project team in traditional roles, or together as part of a complete one-stop shop design and build service.

Our Philosophy

Our approach is summed up best by our strap-line “Transform your Work Life”. We approach every project as an opportunity to make a real and positive impact on people’s work lives – and we challenge our clients to consider the possibilities.

We strongly believe that an office relocation or office refurbishment program is the chance to create a wonderful new environment for people to live and work in – it’s not a case of how much there is in the budget – it’s how best to use that budget to maximum benefit. We love working with people who “get it” and we make no apologies for being workplace evangelists. We all spend most of our lives at work and we want your employees to love where they go to work everyday. If they’re happy, they will perform better, attract other brilliant people and your company will flourish. Too many employers see the workplace as a cost to be minimised but we can show you how it is a strategic asset that can give you a return on investment. See what we mean by workplace performance in our interior design section.
